Isle of Quel'danas - Adamantite Node

There is already a post regarding running a mining route on Qual'Danas but this post, I'd like to share something I discovered about one particular node.

At 49.1, 46.9, on the Isle of Quel'Danas, there is an Adamantite node that spawns on a small ridge just behind where the Emissary of Hate spawns. This particular node, however, has a very small respawn timer. I spent about an hour yesterday grinding for Aldor rep items on the demons that spawn around it and across the course of that hour I was able to mine that one spot a total of 14 times. Additionally, a couple (I didn't keep track) of the spawns were Rich Adamantite and one was Khorium.

    Anyway, g'luck.

Blizzard said that there is a certain number of node locations in a zone, and if somebody mines a node, another will pop shortly thereafter at another node. If there are only a handful of nodes on the Isle of Quel'danas, then the mechanics may be working fine, but there are very few places for ore to pop.

This is probably not a bug or exploit,

Gather nodes instantly respawn, they just have alot of possible places to spawn...

If gather nodes had a specific respawn time (like mobs) then places like slithius with noone there would literally be covered with mines waiting to be harvested (get cartographer and download the mines database, its literally covered with potential mines and herbs), this is also why glider profiles that mine/herb generally don't work as once you have cleared the mines from your path then you are relying on someone else to come along and force a spawn along your path by mining another node in the zone.

The island is super popular with people right now, so people are all over that island mining (and doing dailys), additionally compared to other maps I've seen there is very few mining spawns compared to other zones, so if we assume there are 3 mines up at the 12 or so locations at any one time, and there are people in most locations to find these spawns and use them within 2 minutes you will have the appearance of a high spawn rate.

I would assume this is working as intended... regardless its a good observation and helpful to the community so +Rep for you
