Yeah, I don't understand it either.
It isn't that hard to understand, when I refer to "noob toon" that is your toon you are powerleveling. You must have a lvl 70 character to do all the dotting and running.
its SO easy to understand...-_-need better warlock or priest

Leveled my shaman from 0-40 in 10 hours.
Great guide and all, but THIS IS NOT SOLOING. Soloing is when you kill things by yourself! Reminds me of those fools on Thottbott that say they soloed an instance with four friends. >_>
Yes, actually
Do not stand by the entrance portal with your noob.
I was stupid and did that in the beginning, and died many times...
When you have cleared the first couple of mobs walk a little further in the
instance with the noob, so that when the 70 run out of the instance they will have to run back.
And, never use seed of corruption as it won't do any aoe damage when your 70 is out of the instance.
Ok so it is becoming clear. You leave your "Toon that u are leveling" inside the instance parked. Your well geared Level 70 toon with a Flask or two runs in Dots a mob and backs out of the instance. Your Toon being leveled gets all the kill credit. However if the Toon being leveled is too close to the mob when your 70 Warlock runs out the mob turns to the Toon being leveled and kills them. Be cool for a Rogue or maybe even a Nightelf with Shadowmeld.
So it may be worth trying the dot system without your leveling toon first just to get the system perfected.
Obviously you need two PC's for this or two versions of WoW running on the one PC.
You do not need to be well geared. I am mostly in greens and blues, and i do very well (Trust me, you will survive if you use siphon life to pull) . And do not drink flasks, that's a total waste :P
Also, do NOT stealth cause the mobs have to "see" you before the 70 run out, or they will reset. They WILL come back for you, but if you stand a little further in the instance they will die before they can hit you.
Really good guide!
I might just have to level an alt with this :]
Well, i'll do this with my friend.
My main is a Spriest and his main is a Warlock, so this is perfect xD!
Also, the best warlock spec for doing this is actually 40/21/0, assuming you have 1000 shadow damage.
With 40/21/0 spec, your siphon life will keep you alive easy, and your dots will hit harder, which is required for the higher level like LBRS

Somewhat of repost I guess. I wish there was a post on how to to Athene's actual method with a paladin and mage... Oh well...
