Project-Extinct, internally referred to as XT, is a newly released instant 80 server with primary focus on PvP, but also a lot of scripted PvE content. We currently have 3 developers working on the server, and we highly suggest you take a look at our changelogs.

Project-Extinct emerged from the instant 80 server CozyWoW. The Project-Extinct owner, Laniax, was a developer and the co-owner, Discover, was the head gamemaster and they both got sick and tired of the CozyWoW management and left the server. The work on Project-Extinct started in August 2010 and the server went live on April 29th 2011. We have had a lot of the former CozyWoW players following us and these players are the main part of our great community.

Players start off with furious gear, T8 and Naxxramas gear and are able to buy relentless, wrathful off-pieces, T9 and ICC 10 man (normal) off-pieces and weapons with honor. Wrathful main pieces and weapons require arena rating along with honor and arena points.

All players start off with all their spells learned at maximum rank and when you learn a skill through a talent you will instantly receive the highest rank of that skill aswell. We also have a Profession-O-Matic that lets you select your professions and instantly get a skill of 450 in that profession and all recipies from the trainer learned. This includes both primary and secondary professions. You will also start off with both an epic mount and an epic flying mount. Other mounts can be accuired through events, voting, donating or regular ways such as raiding or completing achievements.

Donors do not get any huge gear advantages over normal players. They get to start with relentless, T9 and ICC 10 man (normal) off-pieces and weapons, and are rewarded with titles and mounts. Donors can also get access to certain donor quests that will work as a ranking system for donors and reward mounts, titles, pets etc. Donors also get to enjoy skipping battleground and arena queues.

We also have a fully working Wintergrasp, although it's currently disabled due to low population to avoid 5vs5 matches. We have scripts for all end-game raids except the Ruby Sanctum that cover almost all bosses. We will constantly work on scripting bosses that aren't correctly scripted to ensure fun for our PvE players and fair obtaining of end-game gear.

My experience on this server so far is unbelievably good. The layout of the entire mall and for a matter of fact the entire server is just pure genius.

Great staff, friendly players and the thing I love most is that there are events on a daily basis.

Great server. You report a bug, and it gets fixed almost instantly and lots of stuff is being fixed daily. Nothing to complain about.

Well it's not entirely like that, it's true that most of the above people are players, but we all want to increase our population since we just started out, since we do have some unique content that we want to let everyone know about! Aswell as our small but steady community, they are so kind to get friends from everywhere and even help us out here!

Just been playing there for the last couple of hours. They really have done a good great on the server capturing JUST the PvP part of it. All the fun of professions without all the grinding that goes with them. Unfortunately, people don't stay at an underpopulated server. They leave and we are back at square 1... /shame

That being said, come check it out. we need some Horde to kill :O

Well, i joined there today becaus im looking since a longer time for a pvp server without stupid mods like coustum gear and so on. Honestly i can say that this server is the server i was looking for.

I really love the pvp system to earn gear and never seen things like a machine that learns a profession (lol what a nice idear). I created a char and after 20min I was ready for pvp. I think when the playerbase will grow in the next weeks this server will become very famous becaus he is very good fixed, has a great pvp system and the staff is really professional. Keep the good work up and i wish u the best.
