    :-:-: Amerika-WoW is recruiting developers! :-:-:

Amerika-WoW is looking to expand it's development team. We're only accepting people who are mature, reliable and dedicated to their work.

    Info about us:

We currently have a three person development team. We all contribute our own abilities to the server, as a team should. If you don't like working in a team or can't deal with people and players well, you are not needed.

We just recently got our server started back up, and are working on getting our Blizzlike realm stable and fully scripted. Almost all instances, quests and zones are already scripted, and we need help finishing everything up. This realm will eventually expand into a custom realm with higher level caps and purely custom content, as an expanding realm should. We also have plans in the works to host another PvP-based fun server. We are currently running on patch 3.1.3, and do not plan to upgrade to patch 3.2 until we have developed a stable core (which might take a long time).

We need two to three people to expand our team, here are some things you should know:

    Need to know:

    - Our core is entirely scripted in C++, so you need to know some basic C++ or a certain understanding of programming fundamentals. We have no use for Lua developers.

    - You will need to know the basics of MySQL syntax and database administration. Using a GUI is fine, but we'll introduce you to manual SQL syntax should you need it.

    - Our dedicated server is running on Slackware 12.2 (GNU/Linux). If you don't know how to run Linux, we can train you. Server administration consists of command-line shell operation.

    - Our team is very professional, but comfortable with each other. We don't leave jobs unfinished and we are never sloppy, but do enjoy the fun in our work.

    Optional, but a plus:

    - C++, TCP/IP or VPN networking, and MaNGOS/Trinity structure knowledge
    - Linux administration knowledge
    - Database administration experience, previous server development experience
    - Experience creating custom content designed for players that would hold blizzlike standards. This includes quests, NPCs, items, objects etc.
    - A job. You know, one in real life? Doesn't have to be a great one; I mean the head administrator pushes carts for a goddam living. We just want someone who has a life outside of their 'puter.

    +~=~+~+~=~+~+~=~+~+~=~+~+~=~+~+~=~+~+~=~+~+~=~+~+~=~+~

What your job will consist of:

    - Searching for and fixing errors and bugs related to the core and database.
    - You will be assigned jobs related to what you are most confident with. For example, if you like developing databases, you will be assigned to handle only database-related tasks. Everyone has their own contributions to our project.
    - Creating a fun, player-oriented environment inside the game, as well as on the forums or on TeamSpeak.
