WoD->Vanilla downport question

Hi!
Is it possible to downport a model file from WoD to Vanilla 1.12.1 client?
Or maybe WoD->WotLK->Vanilla in 2 steps.
I searched a lot and couldn't find any tutorials about this particular topic.

I mean you could, but it's going to be a fair bit of work.

You can inspect the data with a binary editor such as 010 editor. Apply templates to map the data to meaningful structures. There are documented structures available for a lot of patches.

You have to convert the newer formats into the older format. Most of the time this is a simple case of removing new fields that do not exist in the older structures. Sometimes it is a bit more involved.

Whenever you change the bytes, you will potentially need to update all offsets in the file to account for the change. The only way to do avoid this is if you are modifying existing data to the same length, or if you are removing data and null out the unused bytes.
