What's the easiest to install WoW emulator (preferably for Vanilla - 1.12.1)

Hello,

I am looking for an emulator that can be installed very easy.
I don't need to create a private server for a community. I just want to be able to enter WoW and walk and fight a few mobs on my laptop.
Because I want to take a laptop to a TV store and try a few TV sets, to see which one has a better image quality.

So even a text-file database is good for that. Or even no database at all - would be awesome if anyone made such a volatile emulator build, which doesn't remember anything. Just create a character, log in and play. When you log in again, your character is gone.

Obviously, Vanilla WoW is preferred since it works faster on a notebook than any expansion.

Hello, thanks for the info and sorry for the late reply.

I tried Alters WoW and indeed, it's ok. Although you have to generate the maps/mmaps/vmaps on your own and you have to fix the script because the default one doesn't work.
However the official Mangos Repack (ver 0.20) is way better. You just enter in the folder where you extracted it and run "start.bat" - that's it. You get a fully functional server, build in 2015, not in 2012, like Alters WoW
