Vanilla 1.12 Servers block WPE now?

Hey guys I haven't been doing WPE stuff since 2008 or so. I am trying to get back into this and basically going through my different WoW install folders.
I can attach WPE to my 3.3.5a client and Cata. But can't do it anymore to 1.12 and 2.4.3 servers.

Is it the Wow.exe itself being hidden or being connected to the server itself that's blocking it nowadays? This isn't a permissions / permedit problem.

Can't target my WoW 1.12 clients as well as 2.4.3. I can target my WoW.exe 3.3.5a and cata clients just fine with the same WPE open.

I don't think so. MultiHack is able to attach to the vanilla 1.12 just fine.

I'm assuming you've tried compatibility mode for WoW and WPE?
