Base Trinity vs Eluna Core question, urgent information needed

Hey all, I'm setting up a server and have begun compiling both a base trinity and eluna server.

My question is, what languages do the cores support for scripting?

To my understanding, Base Trinity supports C++, while Eluna supports C++ and LUA. Is this correct? If so, I will probably be using Eluna, as I quite enjoy LUA scripting and have some prepared already, unless there is a reason I shouldn't use Eluna, in which case I'd like if someone could alert me to said reason.

Thanks for your time everyone, I've spent a very, very long time trying to get this to work and would love if someone could point me in a direction as to the better core.

Eluna is fine to use, no real drawbacks.

Hey Harry, thanks for the reply, am I right in thinking Eluna supports both C++ and LUA? I just want to be 100% sure before I start devving again.

Eluna is the Lua Engine that allows one to load and run Lua scripts. They provide it on a separate branch to TrinityCore since they need to integrate hooks into TrinityCore and the TrinityCore developers do not want this implemented due to elitism, from what I've heard. So yes, it supports C++ and Lua and this is the reason you have to get it form a separate branch.
