    Getting started in server emulations? (login server)

    Hey guys!


    I want to start work on wow server emulations because i will learn more about socket's and servers.
    My C++ known is okay i understand c++ and i really now the basics and winapi stuff. (also directx programming, winsocks, mysql)
    So now i want to start code on a simple login server, it is my first big think i want to do.

    So i want to ask where i should start with it?
    What i need and how i should begin?

    ArcEmu documents the logon GRUNT protocol pretty well:
