WoW 3.3.5a Vmap problems :( menu

    WoW 3.3.5a Vmap problems :(

    Hello, I'm using ArcEmu for my 3.3.5a private server and I'm having problems with vmaps, When I downloaded the repack it didn't have vmaps_extractor or vmaps_assembler , and I had to download them off the internet, and when I've placed these into my wow directory, and opened vmaps_extractor, it goes through all the files, but I can see it scrolling past very quickly

    As you can see it says Error loading model. I don't know what is causing it to do this, I've seen people say use Ad.exe but I don't have that and I don't know how to get it?

    before every line, after it's done (it takes 4 mins) it creates the buildings folder (which I know I don't need) but it doesn't create the maps or vmap folder :'(

    I'm new to private servers, I just wanted one to host for a small group of people I know IRL. Can someone please help? Thanks

    One thing I did have when I downloaded the repack was DBC extractor, But I've not seen anyone say I need to use this for enabling collisions and L.O.S with mobs etc...

    You don't need to make a new thread for every question.

    The ad.exe is a DBC and Map extractor as a single program.

    Do not use repacks - try to compile it yourself. The steps involved are explained very well: ArcEmu-Wiki (though the wiki is temporarily down from when I post this post).

    ArcEmu is bad and buggy and not developed any more. Use TrinityCore.

    I've seen that TrinityCore apparently doesn't allow lua and only does C++ is this correct? and will I loose anything if I use TrinityCore? like spawned npc's, modified spawn points? I would think I wouldn't since thats on MySQL right? and how do I go about with connecting? I'm port forwarding and not using hamachi.

    TrinityCore supports Lua if you use the 'Eluna' branch. Eluna https://github.com/ElunaLuaEngine/Source

    You will lose all database work because it uses a different database structure and converting it would be too much hassle/work.

    The trade off is that all spells work, it is more stable, most of the dungeons are programmed, the battlegrounds work fully, etc. It just works on almost everything whereas ArcEmu is broken for most things.

    Thanks, I'll keep this bookmarked and in the future I will change to TrinityCore, seems very good Thanks for the help
