dedicated server question

in your guys opinion which dedicated server hosting should i use? i've heard alot about host gator so i was thinking about using that one. the server will be a 4.0.6 cataclysm server pvp/custom content trinity core server. im hoping it gets fairly popular even though i know even if it does become popular it will take a while before it does. so i was thinking from what i've found either host gator, or server4 you.

so seems like host gator has more support but server4you has better specs IMO plus locations can very and not be in the us to help out with the TOS of WOW.

Your server has no concern with legality while it remains tiny and those specs are higher than a server I work on that hosts over 1000+ at peak times.

OVH is cheap and does the job. You don't need much resources when your server is still tiny, as it will be at first and for a long time.

yeah i understand that it will be tiny at first and for a long time but the thing is i dont want to go through the transition of switching Dedicated servers.....always hated having to do that on servers ive played with.....so i want to play on a server that will withstand future traffic from the get go...i'm fine with the payments just need to know what i should go after...mind helping??? since these specs are obviously to much??? im expect at most even in the future 1000-2000 AT THE VERY MOST on my server.....wanting it to be 500ish honestly though

You won't get 500. You won't even get 50. At first you'll have < 20 and that won't grow unless you have some good marketing and a unique selling point of some sort. Just posting your server on websites is not enough to get players.

yeah i know i will have a very small player base at first i've hosted games before not a wow server but other games. so i know how it is for that part but like i said if it gets big i want to be able to handle it without having to move servers.... i'll check out kimsufi thanks much appreciated.

so far really liking the kimsufi KS-R16 dedicated server and the pro website is what i'm looking at might go higher on the dedicated server TBH

thinking of going with the EG 64 and the pro webhosting. which will come out to 149.18, monthly....which im fine with paying even if i never get any donny's
