Would you play this? / Some helpful advice appreciated.

Greetings, OwnedCore.

First off, I would like to ask you to forgive me for the fact that this post may be riddled with spelling errors, grammar etc. I'm very tired, and it's very late.

Now, I'm currently hosting a small server and may move on to bigger things.

The server currently has a lot of working features and the main one which seems to interest people are the player bots we provide.

I'm willing to open this server up to the public, but I'm really here to ask.. would you play it? There are many people that say the "same old 3.3.5a crap is just getting boring now..". I can relate. There are -A LOT- of servers which you can log onto and the features are almost identical to that of the last.

However, with player bots, it gives people a chance to do anything they like. The server is currently home to about 15 real-life or internet friends who love to nostalgia and play WotLK. In fact, the server was only set up for them originally.. but they love it so much.. the fact they can play BGs with only 3 people online... complete the end-game PvE content on their own with an army of bots behind them, is great.

So I'm asking you, what do you want to see? If I opened the server up tomorrow to the public, would you like to see an instant 80 server, where you can compete in PvP or even just complete raids, dungeons with a small player base. Or would you prefer to see a blizz-like low rates realm? Perhaps even the option to do both.

I'm open to any criticism, thoughts etc. Like I said, the server is completely up and running. It would be a matter of days to simply edit the server to the liking of you guys, since most of it is already completed.

I'd also just like to let you know that this isn't something I'd be interested in making money, creating donation status etc. This server is running 24 hours a day anyway and since that's the case, I may as well open it up to the public for anyone to enjoy.

I'd love to see a private server develop something similar to brawlers guild :P I'd donate and play that shit all day. Give players a base set of gear -> Win X amount of times against certain minibosses to get a rank -> get better gear.

Thanks for the hasty reply! However, that's not my intention. My intention is to simply open up the server with the player bot feature among with a few others if people want it. And if that's the case, how would they like it? Instant 80, standard rates, etc.

I see, from my experience I like to see a little effort put into people leveling it up on private realms. Even if the exp is x100, it still forces someone to spend atleast an hour or two leveling and feeling like they earned a max level toon.

There's a difference between leveling 1-80 taking 2 hours, then leveling and taking 30

People are unfortunately lazy yet want a feeling of accomplishment. Best off with a high-rate server to get people acquainted with the system.
