    Im looking to make a small wow community, How much ram would it take up to start one?

    Just tested mine, it's running at roughly 290mb for ArcEmu 3.3.5. And this laptops specs are quite crap too. So in the end, not much really.

    With MySQL and the emulator, you probably want around 1GB to be safe. It really doesn't require much.

    You will need to add Apache (Unless you have a webhost), MYSQL, the server, all the players etc.
    Get a computer with linux and use it only for the wow server and 1 - 2 gb should be enough.

    ran one on my computer at a lan party at my school peek was 66 no problems with 8 gb ram (only used around 2) and that was without website and such things

    Wouldn't need much unless it is a very populated server.

    I know the reasons but does anyone else find it funny your need like 2GB or more RAM for a half decent Minecraft server
    but you can run a wow server on pretty much nothing, >.>
