[Question] Why is the wow emulation dead ?

Hi everyone

So, i used to host a private serv a long time ago, using mangos for Burning Cruisade, but today i can't find any Wow Emulator that handles the lastest patch ...

Why is the scene so slow ? All i can find is new releases and new cores for Wotlk support

Back in the time, when a patch came out, two weeks were enough to devellop a new release of the core that handled the update ...

Some of the main Cores eg Arcemu, Trinity and Mangos havent developed into Cata yet, ArcEmu has only just added support for Vehicles and atm Trinity is the best Up to date least bugs for Wotlk, But i have used SkyfireEmu and it seems fairly up to date with patch 4.0.3 or 4.0.6 cant remember xD

Because blizzard made it hard for the cata developers with opcodes, that is why. It's not dead, its just retarded. MaNGOS got 1.12 2.4.3 3.3.5 and "development 4.X.X" (4.X aint rly developed) Anyways, i think the emulation scene has never been so quick as trinitycores development speed is!

People are "developing" repacks instead of contributing to the cores and communites with scripts, fixes and other stuff.
They just sit there on their asses and wait for a new update so they can compile it, release it and get +Rep.
