    Cant make my server open to lan?

    Hello, I got a problem with my Trinitycore server. I am trying to set it up so my laptop can connect to my server to.
    This is what i edited in authserver.conf:

    LoginDatabaseInfo = "192.168.1.66;3306;root;ascent;auth"
    This is the error i get:

    2012-05-13 21:25:16 ERROR: Could not connect to MySQL database at 192.168.1.66: Host 'Alex-Dator.lan' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server
    What should I do to fix this?

    logindatabaseinfo can be 127.0.0.1 you should change your realmlist table instead, that is what is used to connect to your server via the game client. the others are just the server applications config entries to connect and fetch/push info to your databases (databases are the content backend and do not require any remote connections unless you host a website requiring authentication or equal from your databases. Or if you happen to have someone from outside modify your database content. But i guess you are only doing this alone and do not need any of this. Keep everything except your realmlist entry (found in database) to 127.0.0.1
    Violence doesn't solve shit, but everything else.

    For anything large scale such as the world db I would recommend navigating away from navicat over to HeidiSQL or such. You'll find a faster response time and more reliability that way.
