    Mac Emux adding custom C++ scripts? can't find src.

    HI. I would like to start playing with C++ scripting for my server. I am new to it but I want to give it a try...

    I am using JeremyMeile's Emux with trinitycore precompiled binaries. When I try to follow the Trinitycore How-to:CustomScript, It says I must locate Trinity\src\server\scripts\Custom. There is no SRC folder in the precompiled trinity that came with Emux. Am I just looking in the wrong place?...

    So I downloaded: https://github.com/TrinityCore/TrinityCore. Which seems to have other files that come with the trinity core, can I possibly use these with my server somehow? or what should I do. Any help of direction is appreciated,

    Thanks

    precompiled trinity
    Means the files have already been compiled together to make the .exe so you cant add custom scripts to that.

    So I downloaded: https://github.com/TrinityCore/TrinityCore. Which seems to have other files that come with the trinity core, can I possibly use these
    Correct this is the source of the emulator which when used with Visual Studio compiled to make the .exe's required for game play. If you look in WoW EMU Guides & Tutorials you will see many guides on how to get yourself started

    Cheers

    As 2dgreengiant said,

    You use a repack, which will not allow you to make any changes to your server's code.
    You can avoid this by compiling the core yourself, which isn't hard at all once you get the hang out of it.

    You will probably lose most of your changes, since we never know how a repack was coded, it might very well interfere with a 'clean' compiled trinitycore.
    Your best off just starting over. If you have some experience with SQL, you can probably transfer all the accounts/characters.

    Here is a complete guide on how to compile and run trinitycore by urself;
    [Windows] How-to:Win - TrinityCore Wiki
    [Mac] How-to:Mac - TrinityCore Wiki

    be sure to read it very carefully when u do this the first time.
