What's the most common private server today?

Hey,

I have not been into the private servers for a long time, and decided to give it a try. So my question is, since there is so many repacks and servers out there today, which is the most common? I would like to code some PHP to use with the server, therefore I would like to get used to what most people use. That way more people can use the scripts

As I recall, MaNGOS was a non online server (you accepted the terms that it would be for private use, and that you would not make your server online), and I can't recall the other one. Also, since the "realmlist.wtf" is no longer, what version of WoW is the most used? Are the Lich King servers on the top, or are the Cataclysm servers on the top? If either of them, which version?

For Cataclysm you will probably want to try Skyfire which is based of Trinity and for Wrath of the Lich King Trinity or ArcEmu as ArcEmu is one of the best for developing on eg custom dungeons, Quests etc

Thanks for the reply. Was thinking of using ArcEmu, should i use the 9.0 version? Was the newest version I found on their website, or are there any previous versions that are more used, better or stable?

ArcEmu is was very stable when i used it before (Not that long ago btw ) And your always want to use the newest version as it will be the most stable/less buggy :P
