[Repack Decision] Most 'suitable' Repack for a Roleplaying Server

    Hey experienced emu-server people,

I'm getting started on a little project over the next few months whilst in between periods of University work and other things.

I was wondering if you could suggest the most suitable repack for a 3.3.5a roleplaying server or would it be best to compile it myself? (I [think I] know how, before you start posting me links on how too!) I wanted some practice with utilizing noggit and creating custom gameobjects, maybe a little C++/Lua coding practice but I'll take what I'm given!

Just wanted some advice from those who may or may not have done it before. Not really interested in those "funpacks"..etc.. more inclined to just use a Blizzlike pack but then I kinda miss out on all the fun of coding..etc..

    Thanks!

Compiling is always the best thing to do. Just follow the guide here: Getting the source code - ArcEmu-Wiki
Also, when you get to picking the DB use WhyDB (its the best as far as I know).

As far as the "fun stuff" is concerned, just look up a few tutorials on Lua. (Lua is somewhat-easy to learn). You can make some cool things with Lua.

Thanks alot for your response, Tye Repacking it myself it is. Another question though, when I repack it myself do I have all of the gameobjects that would usually be in the game including houses/buildings and all the other game objects or do I have to import them myself?

Sorry to respond with another question,

Depends on the database you use, some have more objects imported than others.
