Problems with items

So when making my server instead of spending time doing DBC stuff to fix weapons I decided to just delete all items from the DB. This has obviously caused some problems which I hope someone of you can help me with.
1. If I try to buy an item from a vendor I only recieve one no matter how many times I acctually buy it (this is obviously a big problem with food).
2. When I try to make an enchanting scroll it dosen't work and says I need a rod. When I make the rod using the correct ID it still dosen't work.
3. This is less of a problem because I don't really need it, but how do I go about making gems?
4. I havn't tried to do so yet, but I though id just ask. How do I remake soulshard so that it works? Or maybe just make it so that you don't need soulshards.

Just a guess, but when you deleted the spells dbc, it sounds like it messed everything up. Think of it as a broken URL that's been deleted. All of those abilities have to do with items, and the abilities will check for an item in your bag before it will tell the server it's okay for you to cast it. Say the required rod's id is 12345, but when you deleted the item dbc, keep in mind this is just an assumption, you deleted the 12345 from the checklist. Meaning, it asks do you have an unknown item item: ?????

If I'm right then the only way to fix it would be to do a lot more dbc edits and I think you're better off just downloading a new dbc file.
