4.0.1a to 4.0.6a?

This is a double-sided question, if you could please help me out on either or both, I'd be grateful.

First: Did MMOwned do an inactive account wipe in the past? Like, I had hundreds of posts and a few EMU releases during the BC-early-WOTLK days. I was wondering where that account went >.<

Second: I'd like to use RedCastle's Cataclysm repack that runs on patch 4.0.6a. However, Blizzard stopped doing manual patches at 4.0.1a, and now streams all their data over the launcher. This is unfortunate, because the launcher wants to throw me at patch 4.2, where I'd be unable to use the Repack. And, I can't go to a patch mirror site and find them myself because they don't exist after 4.0.1a. Naturally, someone must have found the answer. Help?

As for the account wipe question, no, not that I know of. I had pretty much 0 activity on here for a couple of years, and came back a few months ago with no log in trouble. So, even if they did do one, I doubt they would have deleted your account if it was reputable. Maybe inactive leecher accounts and what not.

For the second question, you would have to download a full client, already patched to 4.0.6a. You can search various torrent sites and you'll find something, I'm sure.

For the patch question: Check out sites such as filefront or go here. Contains every patch all the way back to 2.0s afaik. World of Warcraft , The Burning Crusade , Wrath of the Lich King : Patches, Updates,Addons, Downloads (The Patches Scrolls)

The patch sites will only give .mpq files to drop in the update folder under the WoW directly. I had already explained this. Only patches from 4.0.1a and lower can be dow loaded separately from the launcher. Anything after that will have to be done streaming through the Cataclysm launcher, but that will bring me to 4.2, effectively ruining my efforts so far. It looks like I need a fresh client, as annoying as it may be x)

Meh, I'm not too familiar with cata, but, drop the mpqs in and launch the game from the exe and not the launcher maybe? I've ran a cata server once and I haven't played retail for almost 2 years now. I downloaded a ready made 4.0.6 client. Iirc, the launcher still wanted to patch to 4.0.6 even though the version of the exe was already at 4.0.6.
