Go to your world->items database and search for the Display ID, the Entry ID is in the same row
where do I find the database? i go world>data and then?
Download and install a common MySQL Client (like Navicat or HeidiSQL) and connect to your database, choose your world db, then the items table and search for the Display ID (in navicat CTRL+F)
ok. I downloaded HeidiSQL... and what now? pls a step by step discription, im new to that stuff
Help me pls!!!!!
Please answer these questions.
1. Are you playing on a private server?
2. If yes to question 1, Are you hosting this server on your own machine?
3. If no to question 2, do you have access to the database if it is on another computer?

1yes 1no
its a all gm server. I want a cool outfit got the display id's but want the ingame items to add to my char. I can only browse my database. (and i just don't know how!)
Click connection, then new connection.
Ignore the "ascent" bit.
You will need the IP of where the MySQL server is being hosted, the username, (probably host as I don't expect accounts have been made), the port which MySQL is running on (usually 3306) and the password (usually people put it as "ascent")

I'm not hosting a server, can'T I browse something in my "normal" wow folder? or the cache
http://svn.xp-dev.com/svn/whydb-user...orld/items.sql
Wait for it to load.
Ctrl F
Displayid
Find where it matches exactly.
Does it have a ( before it?
Entry id, not right, keep searching.
Does it have a , before it and then other numbers?
Keep going left till you find a (, right of that is the entryid.
Tahnk you. Is this a list of items from 3.3.5?
not needed, my server is 3.3.5 it's fine, but I just can't find all items... look in my first post teh quote. I need these items. and I can't find the first. sure the database is complete?
It's taken the data from wowhead and the client, so yes it's as complete as it gets.
The issue is that not all displayids are actually linked to an item, there are thousands of displays that are linked to an entry but without that actual item for that entry existing. So if you've found some super-awesome one in the model viewer then it is most likely that it was only used for NPC's and no item for it exists yet.
