Downpatching?

Now that 4.0.1 hit, I was wondering if it's still possible to downpatch and get back to 3.3.5a?

The old trick is to delete one of the smaller .mpq files in your data directory; then use the repair tool -> You will get back to a certain patch release. Then just patch up to the one you want

The thing is that repair tool only drops you down to the first patch of the expansion, 3.0.1 if you downpatched during wrath. Do you still downpatch to 3.0 or 4.0 using that method?

Last time I had to patch WOTLK down, I just uninstalled it, and reinstalled from my WOTLK DVD, that put it back to like 3.0.1, I then patched up to the version I wanted.

No idea, but I guess it will; as cataclysm hasn't been released yet
