IIRC no, not even sure if a mpqpatch could do as much with the user having the exact music file aswell(assuming it is even possible yet) >.>

would be welcome to know from someone who is currently upto date on the subject.

You can, but you'd have to distribute a client-side patch to all players on your server.

Unfortunately, songs are generally large files, and will rapidly make the patch huge. Players are impatient and won't be willing to use the patch.
