Custom Weapon - Not Working Properly?

Hey guys,

So I just added a few custom weapons that I made into my database, however, when I equip that item and try to use heroic strike (for example) it says that no weapon is equipped in my main hand. Why is my custom weapon not functioning like a real weapon?

Did you make these weapons from WoW-V?

If you did make your weapon from wow-v you might of got the problem like i did once, Where it kept saying it wasn't equipped.
if you're getting this problem best thing to-do is go to your DB using what ever your using to access it, Navicat.... or w/e

Pull up the tables ITEMS
Look for your Custom Item

Copy the Stats

Find a old item like

Worn Dagger - Then Change the stats of the Worn Dagger Matching your custom item that you just made.
Then change the name of Worn Dagger what ever you want your custom Item name to be

Dont Change the Spawn ID tho

Then Delete your custom item that wasn't working beforehand
Go to your console and Reload Item tables

make sure your loged out of in-game now and Delete you cache and restart wow and go back in-game and add the item ID of the WORN DAGGER and you will have your custom item

That should work.

Another thing you could do is use one of the patches released on many 3.3.5 servers which allow you to use your own entry ID's. Look around and you'll find some.

You're better off doing what Kiev said, instead of having to-do all that editing

Its more ideal doing what Numb said actually it saves you having to get everyone to download the melee patch.
