    Arcemu 3.3.5 stuck at connecting

    I've found several threads all over the internet about this topic, but no clear answer about what to do. Once I run all 4 the required exe's and I log in, the login screen gets stuck at "connected"

    Here is the important things in my .conf files:

    Logon:
    <LogonDatabase Hostname = "localhost"
    Username = "root"
    Password = "ascent"
    Name = "logon"
    Port = "3306"
    Type = "1">

    <Listen Host = "0.0.0.0"
    ISHost = "0.0.0.0"
    RealmListPort = "3724"
    ServerPort = "8093">

    World:
    <Listen Host = "0.0.0.0"
    WorldServerPort = "8129">

    Realms:
    <LogonServer Address = "127.0.0.1"
    Port = "8093"
    Name = "Default Logon"
    RealmCount = "1">

    <Realm1 Name = "Test Realm"
    Address = "127.0.0.1:8129"
    Icon = "PVP"
    Population = "1.0"
    TimeZone = "1">

    If it will help in any way, my IP (as auto-assigned) is 192.168.1.173. Also, all ports are opened and my firewall is disabled.

    I would sincerely appreciate it if anyone could help me regarding this matter.

    Find:
    Code:
    <LogonServer DisablePings = "0"
                 RemotePassword = "yourpassword">
    in world.conf
    and
    Code:
    LogonServer RemotePassword = "yourpassword"
                 AllowedIPs = "127.0.0.1/24"
                 AllowedModIPs = "127.0.0.1/24">
    in logon.conf

    Are the passwords the same? Just in case you accidentally only changed one.
    Otherwise, dunno. I've never had that problem. Do the logonserver and world windows say that they've successfully connected? eg:
    Code:
    Hooking signals...
    Success! Ready for connections
    Authentication request from 127.0.0.1, result OK.
    Key: 450F425A1A641474AEFD712E24058DBB6D251A7F
    Registering realm `Test Realm` under ID 1.
    in the logonserver window.
    and
    Code:
    16:15 N [Arcemu] Server: Ready for connections. Startup time: 58285ms

    16:15 N [Arcemu] RemoteConsole: Starting...
    16:15 N [Arcemu] LogonCommClient: Loading forced permission strings...
    16:15 N [Arcemu] LogonCommClient: Attempting to connect to logon server...
    16:16 N [Arcemu] LogonCommClient: Authenticating...
    16:16 N [Arcemu] LogonCommClient: Authentication OK.
    16:16 N [Arcemu] LogonCommClient: Logonserver was connected on [127.0.0.1:8093].
    16:16 N [Arcemu] LogonCommClient: Registering Realms...
    16:16 N [Arcemu] LogonCommClient: Realm `Test Realm` registered as realm 1.
    16:16 N [Arcemu] LogonCommClient: Build character mapping in 1ms. (1)
    16:16 N [Arcemu] LogonCommClient: Logonserver latency is 1ms.
    The numbers don't have to match, but does the same sort of stuff come up on yours?

    My logonserver and world windows look exactly like the one you posted when I've executed them and I've checked that both passwords match, but still getting stuck at connected. I read somewhere that it could be an issue where the logon and world servers don't work together - could this maybe be the case ? Also, I was wondering if my PC's IP could have anything to do with it ?

    Could you post your hosts file? Windows/System32/drivers/etc Open hosts with notepad, Your PCs IP may have something to do with it, but I have an idea to reroute it.

    Alright this is a shot in the dark, but it's worth it, I want you to try this.
    Code:
    # Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
    #
    # This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
    #
    # This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
    # entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
    # be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
    # The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
    # space.
    #
    # Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
    # lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
    #
    # For example:
    #
    # 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
    # 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

    127.0.0.1 localhost
    192.168.1.173 localhost
    Remember that I can't guarantee that that will work, but it's worth a shot, that should redirect the localhost to both IPs and vice versa and could fix the problem. If you have issues afterwards feel free to ask and I can look at working out more solutions.

    That's strange. Are you using a repack, or have you compiled your own server?

    Edit:
    Just to figure out if the problem is in the config files, I'm gonna paste all of mine in and explain what you should change, since they work fine.

    logon.conf
    Code:

    I thought it might be a problem with mysql. I don't know for sure, since I've never gotten a problem with mine.
    Try connecting to your database with Heidisql/Navicat/Whatever you use.
    Start MySQL.exe
    Open your chosen SQL editor and connect to your database.
    If you don't know your password.. well. You would have set it when you installed MySQL(Unless you are using a repack).
    If that works, it isn't a mysql problem.

    If this doesn't fix anything, all I can think of is that you need to recompile your server.

    If you're using a repack, refer to the repack's thread for help, or compile your own server.

    I used AC Web's Ultimate Repack, so no MySQL install. I triple checked all the .conf files to no avail. I've been looking for solutions for hours now, but nothing I try seems to work. I have aslo re-downloaded and re-repacked everything without success

    Honestly I'd say just compile your own
    Hadesminion13 did this one
    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/world-...ow-update.html
    And it's a good one to go by.
    Good luck.
