Archer Lua Script?

Hey guys, I'm really new to Lua scripting, and i have been on this site before to see if someones boss lua script works, and it does! i want to know if someone is able to make me a script that allows the mob to use range attacks as well as melee? I am just adding random custom mobs on my server and none of them can use range attacks any help?

First, this isn't the question section.

Second, Have you tried to make the mob deal ranged dmg and not melee dmg when you created the mob? otherwise just script it to use "shoot" every 1500-1600 or 1700milisecond Should work as ranged damage

Leading on from what Emillozdk said, in your creature_proto find the creature you want to edit (id matches the creature in creature_names) and set canshoot/canranged or whatever the column is to 1, then change the ranged attack speed and damage.
