Having problem patch cataclysm to get the map file

Hey
for some reason having a really hard time patch the beta client. When I click on the launcher to download the patch it always gets stuck on 70% but when i check the folder the patch is downloaded. When I try to install the patch nothing shows up. After like 20 clicks and waiting 10min finnaly it started to install. After doing same thing for the 2 other patches I cant install the last one 12232. Any idea why i am having such hard time patching? I have windows 7 . I tryed running patch in admin mod in windows xp mode and still nothing. Is it a win 7 problem?
