NPC Trainer Issues - No Dual Spec Option

Hey guys... I've got some problems with my NPC Class Trainers in my 3.2.2a Mangos Server.

For starters, the options to click to interact with them look very strange. To learn new spells I have to click "GOSSIP_OPTION_TRAINER". To unlearn talents I have to click "GOSSIP_OPTION_UNLEARNTALENTS".

Furthermore, there's no option from them to learn dual spec at 40! Is there a quick way to reimplement scripts for the NPC trainers? Not even sure thats how you'd fix this issue but yeah.

edit: This thread seems to detail how they added a patch to Mangos to get dual spec working, but I can't seem to get it working. Bit of a noob when it comes to all this "Git bash" and SQL Compiling stuff!

Well, I downloaded a patch for implementing dual specialization, but when I try to run the patch I'm getting this!

Maybe I have the patch in the wrong subfolder?

The way my Mangos folder is setup is.. Desktop/Mangos/Src/

I have the patch file in the Mangos folder.

So inside my Mangos folder, which resides on my desktop, is the patch, and the src folder holding everything else.

edit: I should add... Got the NPC Gossip thing fixed. Think I just had my scripts done incorrectly or something!

Move the patch to Desktop\Mangos\src

The files it is looking for are in Desktop\Mangos\src\src\game\

Sounds to me like a bad patch?
Try finding another(updated) version or something.

If you can code a little yourself you can hit

git apply --reject --whitespace=fix Dual_Specialization_8983.patch

The file which gave the error will have the xxx.rej extension. You'll have to look into it and find&fix the error yourself.

I did as you said and *every* thing came out cleanly except one "chunk"!

I actually downloaded the same patch from another person, and there are two .sql files in it.. Can I just restore those dumps or something?

How would I know which database to restore them to if so?

edit: The two sql files were named 'characters-dual-talent' and 'mangos-dual-talent' respectively. tried importing characters via dump and i got a general error. the same you get when you try to apply an update you already have before.

You can fix the version number in the sql yourself, if you dont know how to, send me the sql files and ill do it for you.
