Which emulator would fit my needs?

I'm looking to host a LAN wow-server for 9 friends. We're hoping to play through lots of the 10-man raids, with people who haven't tried them yet.

So I'm looking for an emulator with the best working skills/talents and scripted raids. It would be a plus, if I could get new characters to start with tier 7.

Am I looking for Mangos, ascent or something 3rd?

    Thanks in advance.

I myself have never tried Mangos, so im not sure off the power in the scripts used there.

But i am aware that ArcEmu does do its best to keep up to date with the instances, if not, there will be releases on the site via .lua to do the instances.

Being able to make them start with Tear 7 is a Playercreateinfo edit, or what ever it is

Good luck!, your doing a good deed to your friends.

    Alright, thanks for the answer.

    I'll give ArcEmu a try.

I would say MaNGOS or Trinity Core for sure, the script teams based on these simply have done an amazing job. Scripting the dungeons/raids incredibly blizzlike.

What TheZaronz says is absolutely valid. ArcEmu and other Ascent-based cores don't strive so much to be "blizzlike." MaNGOS and Trinity Core are very much blizzlike cores with outstanding development on them, however. If you plan on anything being as stable and retail-like as possible, use MaNGOS or one of its derivatives (primarily Trinity Core).
You can research MaNGOS here: MaNGOS: the open source MMORPG server - Powered by vBulletin
... and Trinity Core here: Trinity Core MMo Server Framework - Powered by vBulletin
... and if you want, ArcEmu here: ArcEmu
... and Aspire//Hearthstone here: AspireDev Forums - Powered by vBulletin

Thanks for suggesting trinity core, it sounds like the emulator for me!

I've been trying to setup this HD-gaming repack of trinity core:

    http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulat...2a-repack.html

But I'm having some issues with the database. Issues I can fix, if I could get my hands on a working .sql of the database. But I can't! If anyone can help me, please do so

    Thanks in advance.

It would be best to get the latest Revison of TrinityCore instead of running off a Repack.

Here is the website; Trinity Core MMo Server Framework - Powered by vBulletin

All you need to know will be on their forums and their database too.

I got the server working now, thanks. Now I just need some custom vendors or an .sql that'll let me start with full tier 7 (ready for naxx).

Can anyone help me with this? I've downloaded countless vendors, but they all seem to be outdated.

I'll email a hug to whoever helps me. And I'm sure to +rep him too.

I'm sure some will be released on the Trinity Forums, I don't use Trinity so I don't know what the DB Structure is.

TrinityCore and Mangos are great Blizzlike, perfect actually! It might be hard to set something up if it is your first time, if you want to change some minor stuff.

ArcEmu is not as good gameplay, and not as good blizzlike experiance. If you get some good luas, it can be improved, but not in anyway near what Mangos or Trinity can do. ArcEmu is just easy to customize!

    Good Luck!

Mangos (aka) Trinity, is probably your best bet.
