How do I make myself "Npc like?" (Arc-Emu)

Hello. I have come upon the idea to use GM commands to make myself like an NPC. What I am trying to do is go to Zul'Aman, and be an enemy to other players, yet friendly to the npcs there. I have changed my faction (.modify faction 1890) to 1890, the faction of the npcs there. Unfortunately, when I got close to them, they attacked me. What am I doing wrong?

    Extra details:
The npc names go green so I cannot attack them
    Core: Arcemu
    Repack: Arcemu ultimate repack
Patch: 3.2.0 operable, but without complete northrend

wow-v.com it is really simple, just make an account, and make an NPC on there, you can set all that up, such as name, faction, everything. You download the sql right off the webpage!!!

*well im glad everything i just posted is of no help -_-*

Well you could instead use the two commands:
    .npc posses
    .npc unposses
To control and uncontrol mobs there to make things interesting, or if your determined to play actually as the enemy I would do this:
    Logout.
Go to your logon database, characters table.
Find your character in that table.
Change the custom faction to 1890.
Wait till your logonserver reloads or relead it yourself, by typing "reload" (without the ") into the console then hitting enter.
    Log back in.
Your character should now permantly be that faction and hopeufully the npc's wont attack you.
    If they do, use .invincible
This will make it so that mobs only attack you if you attack them first, although I found it didn't work on 3.2 ArcEmu.
    Good Luck!

    I have another Idea

Go into your database and set the factions of all the ZA Mobs to a faction that is hated by default by all players that you can change the standing off.
