3.1.3 Asking for patch

Ok, I feel like a nub, but hey, I can't find what I need. -__-

So, my friend set up a private server ((using hamachi and MaNGOS))

He just updated it to WotLK 3.1.3 from 2.4.3 and I updated everything as well. That included the mangos repack.

Well, when I open starter.bat ((just going by my friends instructions)) it opens up realmd.exe, mangosd.exe and mysql.bat, which is all fine and dandy, as that is how I connected to the private server before.

I see ZERO errors in any of those boxes. The realmlist.wtf, the realmd.conf, and the mangosd.conf are all updated with his hamachi ip. I am connected to hamachi and all, I have my account set up, everything is patched.

I DO NOT LOAD LAUNCHER. I press Wow.exe like I am supposed to. It loads up fine, shows me the login screen, even has his server name on the screen.

I enter my username and pass, and it goes through and says verifiying blahda blahda, handshaking, then goes to a screen where it says that i need to install the newer patches, and tells me to restart wow and download them.

Now, just to test something, I exited wow, reloaded it, put in my username, but then entered in random letters instead of my pass. It goes through the exact same process, and tells me to download the patches.

And thats what I thought, but hell, its always good to be somewhat cautious. >.>

From what Ground Zero says though, it would appear that I am missing a line that tells wow not to look for a patch. Hmm... Lemme go see if I can find anything on that.

Well, after a little searching with the new information, I came across the fact that the Realmlist.wtf was relocated to a different location. -__-

I found that, and here is what is in it

set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com

set portal eu

And now, I will edit it, and see what my results are. =D

((since it didn't matter last time, I am running a GB version of wow, ((torrenting ftl)) as I never actually had wow to begin with. He is running the US version, but I think it should still work, as we are using the same patch.))

I just had to edit the realmlist in my data folder to fix it, Thanks to Ground Zero.
