stuck on connected

Ive compiled the core, the configs are all set up right, the database is loaded into mysql and logonserver.exe and world.exe load up like they should then when i go to connect to the server it will take you to the realmlist then when you click on the realm it stays at connected vs going to the character list. ive had this problem with every server i compile by myself and its getting really stressfull, what do i do to get it to work.

The DBC's, maps, and vmaps are all updated.
