Getting an old rev. of MaNGOS online.

Now I hate to do this without good reason, but I have exhausted every other resource in attempting to make this work.

I have Rev. 2804 of MaNGOS, built primarily as a 1.12.x server. I'll upload it here

The question I am having specifically is how to get my server online for others to join, when after following the included instructions yields no positive result.

Here are the mentioned troubled areas. (Let's say for the sake of privacy my external IP is 1.1.1.1)



In the picture I show I follow the instructions to get it online perfectly as they read in the PDF and yet continue to have this annoying problem where I can't even start up "Start Realm" and "Start MangosDB" from the MaNGOS platinum launcher.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I'd just like to point out that in your .conf's your IP is 1.1.1.1... I'm going to assume you want it at 127.0.0.1?

I know, I used 1.1.1.1 as a placeholder for my own external IP address for privacy ;-)

Edit: And I replaced my external IP with 127.0.0.1.

I can start RealmD and MangosD but I get a looping problem trying to connect to my realm and so does a buddy of mine.

You'll want to have your configs set to 127.0.0.1

The only place your external IP or DNS should be is in your realmlist table.

K, I set every file I edited back to 127.0.0.1 except for the realmlist table in my PHPMyAdmin and I am still getting the looping realms problem.

Well, I changed the realmlist back to 127.0.0.1, so at least now I can connect to my own server.

Seems whenever I change the IP in the realmlist table in mysql I get looping errors.

Any ideas?

No idea about looping, I've never had the problem.

I don't use repacks such as MaNGOS Platinum, and thats a very old rev, so I couldn't help you too much past what I already have.
