    GUA support with Mangos

    Hey

Some time ago I was on an ArcEmu core, and I was a happy man, I was able to use GUA and even LUA, but, then I discovered all the nasty bugs with ArcEmu, and realized that I can only do a live server with Mangos or Trinity. At least those fullfill my needs. Though, then I hit a barrier. I can't use LUA or GUA anymore, and I am stuck with C++, I do know how to script in C++, but I still find LUA easier and faster. I have heard about LUA support in Mangos before, but haven't found anything yet. Is it possible to add LUA support in Mangos? GUA would have been great aswell, but I guess the first step is LUA.

    And if its possible, How??!!

    Lol'd.

Anyway, you can have lua support on MaNGOS / Trinity, but you need to code a plugin for it (which you have to do yourself if you want to have it.)

You should look at the EventAI (Database scripting) Or just grab yourself from the neck and start looking at C++ scripting.

+Rep to you, and what I meant when I said faster, well, I meant that its easier and has more possibilities for a nub like me. Anyway, how would I start on making this plugin? Would I have to do it in c++? Or don't you think I will be able to make this plugin?

Edit: Sorry, I have to spread

I suggest looking at how the SD2 is implented itself, and do some searches in mangos forums, there is lot of topics about implenting such support.

But in reality, if your knowledge of c++ consists of only scripting it, i doupt that you are able to make such plugin.
