New Items have Question Mark Icon need solution

I have an issue, where do I find the entry list? when the server starts I get warning messages and in the game these items have no display in the bags, bank, or action bar just the Question Mark Icon.

After 2.4.3, blizzard patched the displays on items. There is no definitive fix for this, however you can make your players download an addon that will at least show the correct display icon.

This or you can simple replace one of the blizzard id's so that you use that displayid instead of the blizzard item.

not true. It will still show the blizzard icon, however your weapon stats.

I'm slightly confused, it will show the blizzard icon yes, but I don't understand the "however your weapon stats"? You mean if you make a mace and you replace it with a bag then it will look like a bag? Thats why I was saying replace with a blizzard item to use that displayid, if your custom weapon is a mace then replace a mace.

He means you'll see the stats of your item while it'll keep the looks of the original. Basically you both said the same thing.

A downside to doing this is the players' cache. If they visit other servers and forget to clear it before entering yours, they'll see the original item and not your modification.

Stick to the question marks, they're harmless :P
