When your computer goes into "Sleep Mode", you can't run any programs on your computer. Their memory state is suspended and runs when your computer comes out of sleep mode.

And you obviously can't run programs while your computer is off, now can you?

There is no way of doing this!

You can however turn of the screen after a few minutes. Go to Power Management in the control panel. On that page you will be able to setup your computer to turn off the screen after X minutes. You should also also set going to sleep mode to Never.

I know how to do all that, and i know programs don't run in sleep mode or off, but i WAS wondering what if i could put it on an external source like the server website? Cause i'm not worried about power or anything but i AM worried about changing locations or my comp over heating (it's a gaming laptop so it doesn't over heat that fast but it will get very hot after a while just like any laptop).

Unless you have a dedicated/virtual server you probably can't execute binary code on the server.

If you want you gaming laptop running you can buy Antec - Notebook Cooler

You don't make your server a virtual server
A virtual server is an hosting option offered by some hosts. It means that you have full control of an machine that is simulated by another machine (this is know as virtualization).

If you want to learn more about this check these wikipedia articles
Full virtualization - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Virtual private server - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia [that would be the hosting option]

Well you would have to buy a VPS Hosting Plan VPS Hosting - Google Search

Which is rather expensive, you would however have a good internet connection and lots of computing power (if you can afford it).

A better option is Antec - Notebook Cooler from what I hear it's barely audible (pun not intended)

The notebook cooler ain't that hard to move. Btw, Some newer Gaming Laptops have two graphics card. One for gaming and one for power saving (that means that it won't get too hot)

If you are on a laptop and your don't have the money for VPS or Dedicated hosting then i think that cooler is your only option. Except having someone else host it for you. There is a thread for that here on mmowned

    Hope this helps
