Need help changing realm list! Please look!

I know the tittle sounds very noobish and it proboly is but ive been wanting to join a private server for along time but for some reason i can never change my realm list. Ive watched many videos and tryed the excact same thing. If ANYONE can explain to me how or link a video that they know that works I will defenantly reward you in some way.
Thanks so much in advance! I will check this post in the morning so hopefully someone will have replied.

1. Go to your World of Wacrcraft folder.
2. Go to Data
3. EnGb (or EnUS)
4. There you will see Realmlist.wtf, edit it so it always open with notepad.
5. Change the realmlist to the servers name: Set Realmlist logon.wow-europe.com
