    Change 127.0.0.1 for your hostname to localhost.

    Did not work I assume you mean the hostname from
    Code:
    <LogonDatabase Hostname = "127.0.0.1"
                   Username = "root"
                   Password = "root"
                   Name     = "characters"
                   Port     = "3306"
                   Type     = "1">
    Right? Changing "127.0.0.1" in "localhost" makes no difference ;<

    do you have MySQL set up on your machine? Make sure its installed correctly and that your passwords match. Try connecting to your MySQL service using a program like Navicat. If you still can't connect try restarting the MySQL service and/or reinstalling it.

    EDIT: And if your using a repack make sure that the MySQL.bat is runnign at all times.

    I managed to fix it, another way tho. (hearthstone map -> mysql -> bin -> winmysqladmin -> run -> login -> extend -> win NT in toolbar -> shutdown this tool).
