Compiling hearth on 64 bit os

Alright so im trying to compile hearth on a 64 bit os and it keeps skipping the compiles, someone said because visual studio 2008 dosent support 64 bit compiles with it, anyways dose anyone know a way around this? or another tool i could use to compile

you tried the visual express C++?

and my friend had a problem with arcemu on 64bit, he ended up compiling it with a 32bit settings, it didnt effect the game/emulater at all, maybe its worth giving that a go.
