    Willing to learn

I know very little about programming but I am very interested in learning. I have been an avid gamer for quite a few years but have only recently become interested in the other side of gaming, the creation and maintenance. From experience I know that pc gamers tend to be the best resource for information. Ive done some work on my own (repacks and such) but Im looking for a good starting guide for an honest noob like me to learn. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, try find a book on C++.
Learn the Syntax, and write some simple "Hello World!" Programs, or alike.

Try learning how i did, yeah i cant write programs but i'm a pretty good AI script and all that for emulator servers. Just kinda read the scripts and a bunch of online tutorials on sites like this for instance. After a little bit you catch on =D

While for beginner's I'd recommend they start off with something like Python but Sam's Teach Yourself C++ in One Hour a Day is a wonderful book to get you started with C++.
