Frozen/Stuck At Connecting to Server --- $$$ For Help

Well I have been having this issue for about 2 weeks and have exhausted all my options. I have done a ton of research, tried just about everything, yet I still keep getting the stuck at connecting when I try to get onto a private server.

I don't believe this is a log issue, I have tried connecting to servers I know work that don't require me to alter the logs but I still get the error.

I think it may be an issue with my router, since I have tried disabling my firewall and anti-virus. The issue really came about after I got a new router.

    Router- Netopia
    Model-
    3347-02
    Made by Motorola

Not sure if I can forward the ports or something, guess I have never had to do that before but from what I've read it's been a bit complicated.

    ---

Basically whenever I connect it just gets stuck on connecting, or loads the server but when I click it just sits there on connecting.

I have had a private server for over a year for personal use, and have never really had any problems I couldn't fix.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and if someone can solve the issue I will give them $20.00 via PayPal for there time. Pretty sure that is allowed but if not I guess I will remove the offer.

The best idea is, if you remove your router and connect your PC directly to your cable/dsl modem. If that works you know for sure and you can forward the required ports on your Router.

As far as I know the needed ports are :

    - 3724
    - 6112
    - 6881-6999

After you forward those on Both UDP and TCP

    It should work for you,

You could also try to put your PC in the Demilitarized zone (DMZ) this could also fix the issue. If you use a custom Firewall e.a. Zonealarm, Norton Internet Security... Delete it

    Hope this helps for ya,
