    Help straightening some stuf out

Ok, I've been on this site alot in the past couple days & I'm starting to get every thing mixed up.. for example the difference between Aspire & ascent..

I'm gonna list a few cores & DB's, can you tell me what the core or DB is best for. maybe list pro's and cons

    Cores
    • Arcemu
    • Ascent
    • Aspire
    • hearthstone
    • mangos

    DB's

    • NCDB
    • RivalDB
    • WhyDB

Can't think of anymore, plz feel free to post more that you know of.

Basicaly I'm trying to find the most complete & stable DB to go with the most stable core, for a custom server.

another thing, what is the meaning of the following types of servers,
    Blizzlike server
    Fun server
    Custom server

I don't know all the good things about the DBs/cores. But I can try to help.

Arcemu is a good core and they have fixed a lot of the minor bugs but some bigger bugs still exists.
Mangos is from what I have heard a bit more advanced and harder to keep alive unless you are a good C++ Scripter, because mangos doesn't support the lua language.
Ascent... well.. I would say that arcemu and ascent are a lot like each other. They are both very easy to maintain (lua scripts work and its easy to configure it) but I would personally rather go with arcemu. As they have fewer bugs from what I know.
Aspire and hearthstone I have never used or read anything special about.

    The DBs
NCDB is a good DB but they doesn't update so often. But when it updates it includes big updates. So that's the DB I use now.
WhyDB updates often but I still think it has more bugs then NCDB.
RivalDB I have never used so I dunno about that one.
If you are running a blizzlike server the best thing to do would probably be to switch between some DBs unless you want to do the work yourself. Because when NCDB updates its gona include the latest blizzlike updates (almost) but they are not updating so often so you might have to do some manual updates or add stuff from another DB.

Blizzlike server is a server where you try to make it look as much as retail as possible. Maby you have low ratings and no custom NPCs and stuff like that.

Fun server is the opposite to blizzlike. You often have instant 80/70/60 or any other level and then you stop at that level. Maby do some custom raids or just PvP.

Custom server... that would probably be when you do alot of things custom. Like the players only have access to custom items/NPCs and things like that. Im not sure if this is right thou.

Keep in mind that this is just what I think. This is my personal opinion, everything might not be correct.
"i downloaded it in "pirates bay", can you tell me how to download it in steam, pls"
