You still get auto patch every time you login or Invalid game verison

just do this to realmlist:
set realmlist <YOUR SERVER IP HERE>
set patchlist xx.version.worldofwarcraft.com
set realmlistbn ""
set portal eu

it will change the patchlist so patches downloads from xx.version.worldofwarcraft.com that doesnt exist = no newer patch until u set it to eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com or us.version.worldofwarcraft.com

Do you have to type "xx.version.worldofwarcraft.com", can't you just remove it? I mean in my realmlist it only says set realmlist <realm here> ... nothing else.

Oh, well that's good =D Anyway, no the tables aren't the same, some of them might be but most of the main tables are not.

And for the realmlist thing, all you should need is set realmlist <YOUR SERVER IP HERE>. I would assume that there is some meaning for it if you are playing on retail servers, why else would they add in all the other crap?
