I need help compiling Mangos on Ubuntu 9.04

Hi, I need some help getting started getting up a mangos server on Ubuntu 9.04 Beta. I was also thinking of putting the server version of Ubuntu on another partition to try it that way.

I'm stuck on compiling it. I have the latest SVN checked out but when I try to run the ./configure command. it tells me:

No such file or directory

I'm not sure what to do...

It could be that you're using a funny path name that the compiler cannot read. Ubuntu is not a system I'm vaguely familiar with unluckily, try using a simple path similar to C:\Server or something along those lines instead of a longer one.

Also make sure the SVN downloaded correctly and you have the corrent software installed. Since I ain't really wise on Ubuntu I can't help you any more than that

I have the latest SVN checked out

MaNGOS switched from SVN to Git a long time ago so if you're getting the source code from the SVN you will get a very outdated version.

Ya I just realized that. I used the guide here: Howto compile - UDB

I successfully was able to run the "make" command but when it told me to enter the "make install" command it gave me this error:

make: *** No rule to make target `insall'.  Stop.

EDIT: I ran "make" again and I got it to run make install. I'll see how it goes after that.
