    not 100% sure but its woth trying, ppl in the same network needs to use your internal IP (not localhost).
    look it up in you cmd.

    click start
    search for cmd
    type in ipconfig
    not sure but if im right the internal ip will start with 192.???.?.?
    use that one for the PC's contect to the same network.

    good luck!

    You have to change the ip in your datebase.
    Do this:

    Open up your favorite mysql editor (i use SQLyog, but that's up to you).
    Go into the database "realmd".
    Go into the table "realmlist".
    There should be one row on the list, change the cell "address" to the ip you got with ipconfig.

    Voila, hope it works

    Find your external IP address
    remember that Ip address Should be 69.144.16.8 (that IP address is completely random) or something similar to that
    open the config file "arcemu-realms" or the equivalent
    in the spot <Realm1 Name = "Private Server"
    Address = "XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:8129"
    Icon = "PVP"
    Population = "1.0"
    TimeZone = "1">

    save

    have the clients form the local network type in the external IP address

    And make sure the ports are forwarded.

    Now any1 inside and outside of your local network can connect

    I hate it when people mention +Rep in their signatures...oh wait...fail

    IETF document "Special-Use IPv4 Addresses" (RFC 3330) describes the IPv4 address block 127.0.0.0/8 as being reserved for loopback. It is therefore excluded from assignment by a Regional Internet Registry or IANA.

    This means you can't connect to 127.0.0.1 as the data is "looped back" to the same interface.

    The above post explains it well, I would only add you once you setup your IP via config files (Antrix, Arc, Acent) or DB (Mangos, Trinity) you can use the local address instead of the external for local devices.

    @ Denial is Ok and st-m4il.
    I tried to make it easy for him to get his friends on his server.
    Why get into complicated steps such port forwarding when there is no need for it?
    His internal ip-adress would work just fine. (By internal, i mean the one he got from his router, not 127.0.0.1/localhost/loopback.)
