Old Issue - New Twist - Login Locally

I have a stumper - not sure if in the right area. Now this question has been asked a lot, but not like i am going to ask it :P

OK I'm a little spoiled with 3 powerhouse laptops. so one that I don't use much IM hosting the game using hamachi - I can get on others can get on, the whole (hamachi) world can on. yeah!! now I want to make it so NO MORE hamachi. But problem is then I can't play locally. So setup is as such:

    HOST SYSTEM: 192.168.11.2
    playing from 192.168.11.6

i put 192.168.11.2(hosting laptop) that into the realmlist.wtf and whola!!! I can log in (you cant put localhost or 127.0.0.1 because im not hosting it from the xxx.6, its being hosted by the xxx.2). But I con only go as far as the realmlist. when i try to go further, it just kicks me back to the list. Now just everyone from the OUTSIDE world can log in but me. BOOOOO!!

    ok
    Host file
    127.0.0.1 localhost
    127.0.0.1 [no-ip addy]
    127.0.0.1 192.168.11.6

Question: How do I get this to work w/o hamachi. I CAN play on the hosting laptop locally. But I don't WANT to :-)

I want to play on my other laptop 1692.168.11.6

technically, every pc in the house should be able to play locally on the 192.168.11.2 laptop.
(bear in mind these are laptops with dual cores and Geforce9600+ cards (not the lame intel vid chips) :-) They can handle it!!

Am i missing something in the net work?
again, I apologize if this is in the wrong section... :-(

    Solved

I just figured it out by experimenting.

you have to change the HOST file of the players pc

    lan_host_ip no-ip.com

you have to do this for any pc in the house that wants to access the server
So in the above example we'll say billybox.no-ip.com is the dyndns.com

    #some remarks
    127.0.0.1 localhost
    192.168.11.2 billbox.no-ip.com

now when they type the no-ip address it will shoot them over to the local host.

Hope this helps anyone else with the REALMLIST LOOP. issue both locally and remotely.

    take care
