Question about Server Hosting

Hey i have a question about server hosting. I want to put my server on a host but im not really sure what they do to host your server so i would like to know how it works like if i send them something and if i can edit anything after i give them the server or something. I would just like a basic explanation of what they do

What they basicly do is you give them your server files and then they just open arcemu world and arcemu logon. Thats a short simple explanation!!

Alright so how do we edit the Database then? Also how do you edit the server Config Files

You open Arcemu_realms and edit the server name and realmlist all the way to the bottom. Now for the database access, they should give you your server's mysql information from there you can use navicat and connect!!

I know how to edit all the stuff but i mean when i give them the server folder how will i be able to change configs when they have it and +Rep

Well i think you can upload the file so it gets updated...I really have no personal experience with Proffesional hosting!!

Will i be able to reboot the server so new scripts/ npcs will be added? What host do you thinks the best

I've always hosted a server myself i've never paid anyone to host it for me. Yeah as long as you give them a restarter and i think you will be able to add scripts with a ftp

if its "proffesional hosting" you wont be able to tell that your not sitting in front of that computer
unless your "proffesional hosting is using linux" then..well save that for another day
