how to fix Mobs Aggroing through walls

I just made a custom "instance" (no portal or anything) inside a cave. When I spawn mobs and go in with a level 15, I find that the mobs can aggro me from the other side of a cave wall! I was woundering how, or if, I am able to fix this problem. Not to be too demanding, but I dont want answers that just say "learn C++" or "learn LUA." If it is related to LUA or C++ then can you please either link or post a tutorial on how to do this, thanks a bunch!

EDIT: Also, I just have an EXTREMELY noob LUA question:
Say I make a custom boss (that doesnt already have a LUA script in the "scripts folder" of my repack) To make a LUA script for the boss, i just open notepad and create my script and save it as ".lua" in the scripts folder, then when i log in the script will work right? or do I have to execute it in a specific program or something? Thanks again!

Well for the first question there is no hope...unless you are a dev this a problem of all current emulators, this is meant to be fixed by loading the vmaps for helping the mobs with the line of sight aggro detection but is only in preliminary status.

The lua question is an easy one, It should work but better if you copy an existing file, rename it and save it. The other day I received a message like that: "Unexpected simbol ^ before line 1" and the problem was that I created a lua file through WordPad, very odd indeed.

The reason they are going through the walls is a simple 'LOS' (line of sight) problem, in which the mobs don't actually detect that there is a wall in between you and them.

Usually to solve this you need to create the vmaps and vdmir maps. Follow the instruction in the link provided. Hopefully this will help your problem. Cheers!

Hopefully this will solve your problem.

Also another trick, if you have mangos, is to change the mangos.conf so that the mobs only have 2/3 of their argo range, and most of the time will not go through walls because of this.

I said the vmaps implemention is preliminary because it can lead to crashes, mobs not aggroing anything and memory leaks errors, thats why you are better off without vmaps right now. Too much bugs and instability. For me personally the most akward bug is the mob flying to you when you agro from range and your char is at different height than the mob.

Actually my server, or my client has crashed 'SINCE' I installed the VMAPS. Maybe its cause I have a powerful computer? Well, I would still try the vmaps. But if it doesn't lowering their arggo range works 80% of the time. Cheers!

Edit: Well, the difference also might be teh emu you are using. Marcelo, what are you using. For me its Mangos

Also, the flying mob problem still occurs for me, but its affects are vastly reduced.
