[Question] Need help with MangosD

I followed Moffeman's WOTLK installation guide correctly.But when i start mangosd it just shows me a blinking screen for half a second and it dissapears.What may the problem be?

I'm really new at this but I had the flashing screen too. You may have entered the wrong info in your config files. Open realmd.conf and scroll down to LoginDatabaseInfo and make sure you entered your username and password correctly. And the database.

Open mangosd.conf and check the
LoginDatabaseInfo
WorldDatabaseInfo
CharacterDatabaseInfo
make sure they are the same and you have entered the info in according to what you have chosen. They will be the same as the info you entered in realmd.conf.
I hope this helps. Most questions have been answered in Moffeman's 12 or so page thread but it takes a while to read through it. Also, if you follow his guide correctly, its no problem. If I am wrong about any of this then someone please correct me.

Yes make sure that you set it all up right.

In addition, make sure your MySql server is running so that magnosd can connect to the database. Otherwise, iirc, it quickly crashes like that.

If you want to see the error, just run the server from command prompt
