Total noob, please help!

Hi, I'm a total noob, and am just trying to create a private server, and don't want to go public with it. I've searched and was able to find a lot of help, but I haven't been able to get it running yet. Can anyone point me in the right direction to where I can find "The idiot's guide to WoW server" or something like that? Any help would be appreciated. I have very basic computer skills, at least compared to most of the people on this site, but I'm a quick study and can usually figure things out, but at the moment, I'm stuck. Please help me!! that's exactly what I was looking for!!! Thanks! I've got it up and running, I'll eventually get to the point where I'll change stuff, but that'll probably be a while!
